Yesterday, I went to the Carnival in my village and it was actually really fun!
Every year my village does this Carnival in March. I haven’t done in years (properly, I mean).
So I was actually only going out with my friends (although it was raining and we got soaked). And then we remembered that there was the Carnival. We were just looking at the start when the parade came walking down the streets but then my friend wanted to join in to have some fun. So there we were in the middle of the parade (without costumes because we forgot) having a bomb. It was really cool with the music booming through the streets and with the sight of my friends and I dancing like complete lunatics (I’m sure if anyone saw us they would have died of laughter because we couldn’t dance).
We were just about to leave because it was starting to rain again (and we were going to shelter). When a group of boys (that I knew) came out of the supermarket with four bottles of shaving cream. When we saw them we instantly knew who was going to get all that shaving cream in their face (meaning us)! My two friends saw them too and we started running as fast as we could, we only got ran like 100 meters till they already caught us up. So my friend and I started running again behind a wall and only then we noticed that we forgot our other friend! SO I looked out again and there she was covered with shaving cream laughing her head off. So then I turned around again and there was one of the boys, he covered me in shaving cream whilst another one was tickling me. 1o minutes later we were walking up the road covered in shaving cream laughing and obviously the boys had nothing on them…. And then it started hailing (well not completely but it was raining and hailing). I live a bit further away from my friends so I had to walk up till my house soaked and looking really weird because I was covered with shaving cream… It was quite funny seeing people’s reactions, though.
And then I came home, I didn’t know what I was supposed to do or how my parents would react. Luckily not both of them were home (well I’m not sure if it would have changed) so my Dad opened the door and just looked at me. In the end, it wasn’t a big deal my parents and I just washed my coat and changed.
I was really fun but sadly I don’t have any photos of the Carnival because my phone died (I had used it too long because I was on Snapchat and it used all my battery).
So that was how my Saturday went! The boys are dead on Monday because we are planning our revenge (*devil face emoji*).
XOXO, Rosie <3
