Yup! I’ve decided to do an updated version of an old post today! I’ve had a few comments on my new editing ‘style’ and thought why not make a not talk about it! This may or may not be an interesting post for some but I still wanted to make it for the people that were wondering!
1. Export my photos to my phone!
Pretty self-explanatory but I just export photos from my camera, to my computer, to my phone.
2. Open the Snapseed (only sometimes) + VSCO app
I’ve created a ‘filter template’ which to be honest works for most photos. I obviously don’t leave them like that as each photo is different (some need more contrast, others less colour, etc..).
But here is the general template!
As I said in my last post, I’m not sure if this would be considered retro but I’m calling it that because it feels old, well, worn out.
3. Sometimes add a bit of extra grain
I, then, open the Afterlight app (pretty sure you can find it in every app store).
After finding my photo, I go to the film icon (film as in camera film, not a video) and select dust. Here you can find many different types of ‘dust’. I usually go for number 5, 6, 9 or 10. It gives a really cool effect as it looks like the photo was developed with a film.
I hope you enjoyed this post and for the people that were wondering, here you go! All my secrets revealed!😉
This isn’t the longest post either I have to admit but I’ve been really busy with life (yes, I know you’re wondering, I do actually have a social life!)
