Quick interruption before I start this post. A few days ago I posted a post called This is a powerful message…. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the notification button because I started writing it early January. When I posted it, it posted to the original date, not on the 30th of January. I changed the date afterwards but I’m not sure that it posted it on Reader. I’m not sure if the notification problem is true but I still just wanted to say it.
I have been seeing this type of post quite a lot but I still wanted to do my own version. (And because some people have been asking how I edit my photos.) I try to only post photos that are mine on my blog but some of them are from the internet. So I’m not taking credit for their editing.😉
I used to edit my photos with my phone but I have found a much simpler way to do it now. I have been searching for quite some time to find a website where you could edit photos for free, and, I have to say it wasn’t easy. I found this website by accident really. I was reading a friends blog (Floral Eden) and she wrote about her new blog heading (heading?). She said she made it with Canva. (I’m not sure if she said it on her Instagram or blog.) I had never heard of Canva before but I wanted to give it a try (because I was getting annoyed that the App on my phone always ruined the quality of the image). And here I am! I am absolutely loving the website! It is quite easy to use and doesn’t ruin the quality of the image (well, normally, it has ruined it sometimes for me). I would 100% recommend it!
So how does it work?
Well, firstly, you have to create an account (kind of self-explanatory).
Then you can create your first design:
To start you can choose a template. There are so many designs you can choose from, I personally like the presentation designs a lot for blog posts.
When you have clicked on the design you want, you can start customising it. Some of the designs are free so you can even use the image of the example but some you have to pay for the image (I never do that and it works perfectly because I want to use my own photos anyway).
I like using the “Moving Moutain” template because it’s simple and I can customise it as I like. I know you can just use the white paper but I prefer starting with an example.
You can really get creative on how you like it to be!
When you have finished you just have to click the download button. It will ask you how you want to download it; I go for JPG.
And that was it! Canva can really be used for everything!
I hope you enjoyed this post!
