Aaaaand it’s been 11 days since the last post..sorry about that!
But today I want to talk about photography. More specifically black and white photography.
When cameras were first made (well film cameras), all pictures were black and white and it gives off a very different feeling than coloured ones.
Recently I’ve been editing a lot of photos to make them look darker and older. I really really REALLY like the effect of old, used photos.
After a while, I found a good editing software for Mac (it does exist for windows as well) which was actually free! I’m passionate about photography, yes, but not to the point where I can afford paying monthly for photoshop or Lightroom, it’s really just not worth it.
It’s called RawTherapee. It took a while to get a hang of but when you use it for a while, it’s really good. Obviously, it’s not like the expensive software but for its price (which, again, is free), it’s good!
The second way I edit the photos is with VSCO. It’s an amazing app and has a lot of good filters. The black and white ones are nice as well. Although I find that the contrast on photos is not as high with the filters, if this bothers you, just change the contrast.
Here are my latest black and white photos:
I hope you enjoyed this post! Tell me in the comments what you think about black and white photos!
XOXO, Rosie <3
