DIY retro (kind of) T-shirt

DIY retro (kind of) T-shirt

I’m currently obsessed with this kind of retro-style drawings, photos, texts and style in general. As you may have noticed, I’ve been editing my photos to make them look a bit older and vintage-y kind of thing (my explanations are on point today, I’m aware of that XD).

Sincere apologies to anyone that is born in the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s, I’m probably using the wrong adjectives to describe this project…

Anywhoo, yesterday, A few friends and I went out to town to do a bit of window shopping (because we can’t afford much…oops) and popped into Pull&Bear. I absolutely love their style and wanted to buy everything in the store but after looking at a few of the shirts (which were kind of expensive for what they were), I noticed that I could actually make them myself. So that’s exactly what I did.

First I googled a few templates to print (I ended up only using the rose because the text was too hard to draw.)

I then looked for a plain white T-shirt in my closet (wasn’t hard to find and for those who are wondering, I got it in H&M in a 2-pack).

After placing a piece of cardboard and the stencil between the shirt, I started drawing. It wasn’t hard as the design was quite easy. (I found these crayons and pens in a cupboard, by the way, the last time I used them was for my 6th birthday party…😂)

Follow the directions on the box to iron the design and voilà!

This DIY is really easy and in my opinion looks really good as well!! And here for the cringy photos of me wearing my masterpiece.

(yes I’m aware that the last picture is blurry but thought it looked kind of cool, even though I was actually moving my hand to cancel the timer)

And that’s it! I really hope you enjoyed! I had a lot of fun making this as I literally didn’t buy anything for this project! It turned my basic white T-shirt into something kind of cool!

Tell me if you try this out yourself!

XOXO, Rosie <3
