You may or may not have heard that here in Switzerland, we had a really cold week. And I’m talking about -10 degrees. Let me just say…it was an interesting experience….and I’m pleased to announce that I did not die of hypothermia!
For most of the week, it was just really cold and not very pleasant but on Wednesday I heard that it was supposed to snow!
So I woke up on Thursday, excited to go out. I looked out of my window and, well…I was surprised. Yes, it did snow, it definitely snowed…but I wasn’t expecting this..there was around half a meter on the sidewalks and the roads were non-recognisable!
Whilst waiting for the bus that morning, I jokingly said to my friends that we may not be able to get to school as the roads were covered in snow and it still hadn’t arrived. So we waited…10 minutes passed….20 minutes passed…30 minutes passed. Eventually, we gave up and went home. We later learnt that all the buses were cancelled and we were free for the day! So my friends and I decided to go on a small adventure. We found our big fluffy snow boots and coats and went out. At one point, I almost fell into the river which would have been less fun but I’m proud to say, that didn’t happen!
A lot of people didn’t go out at all and I have to say, they missed out! The scenery was so beautiful and it was really fun to jump around!
These are just some of the pictures I took that day. 🙂
Tell me what you think in the comments! Have you had a lot of snow this winter?
XOXO, Rosie <3
